The East Herkimer Fire Department assisted the Middleville Fire Department at the scene of a structure fire in the 
Town of Fairfield on Saturday May 29,2010. Our units provided a tanker and water supply fill site for the incident. Newport, Mohawk, and Salisbury Fire Departments also assisted as well as KVAC ambulance.
The East Herkimer Fire Department responded to a rescue call on Steuben Hill Road on Friday Ma
y 28, 2010. Upon arrival, crews found a male over a 40′ embankment who had been injured when he lost control of his garden tractor which rolled with him over the hill. Rope rescue equipment was used to remove the patient who was transported by MOVAC to a Utica hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Mohawk Fire Department and MOVAC ambulance also assisted in the rescue.
