NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undersigned having been elected Commissioners of the East Herkimer Fire District in the Town of Herkimer, New York, by the voters of said Fire District pursuant to Section 175 of the Town law of the State of New York hereby give notice that voting for all Fire District residents shall be held in the East Herkimer Fire Station, 193 Main Road in said District on Tuesday the 8TH day of December, 2020, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM for the purposes of electing a Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years starting January 1, 2021.
Every elector of the East Herkimer Fire District (the area of the Town of Herkimer outside the Village of Herkimer) who shall be a registered voter of the Town and who shall have resided in the Fire District for a period of thirty days preceding this election shall be qualified to vote.
Any resident of the East Herkimer Fire District who qualifies to vote is also qualified to run for the office of Fire Commissioner.
Nominating petitions for the office of Fire District Commissioner may be obtained by contacting Fire District Secretary Nadine Lindsay, or any of the officials listed below. Said petitions must be filed with the Fire District Secretary before 7:00 PM on December 1, 2020.
