East Herkimer Fire Dept.

Attention all members, the listing of monthly fire training has been updated in the Members section of the website.

The East Herkimer Fire Department along with the Mohawk Fire Department, MOVAC ambulance, and the New York State Police responded to a two vehicle collision on State Route 5 in the Town of Herkimer on August 10th. Two individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for evaluation of minor injuries.

On July 27th, the East Herkimer Fire Department conducted a rope rescue training exercise along the West Canada Creek. Members simulated a rescue of a victim that had fallen over an embankment.
