Make a fire escape plan

Talk to your family about what you should do if there is a fire.  Adults 65+ are 2.6x more likely to die in fires. Help an older adult in your life plan & practice a fire escape plan.  Practice you fire escape plan at least twice a year.

Watch this short video on how to increase the chance of surviving a home fire by more than 82 percent and decreasing fire damage by up to 97 percent.
